A pediatric practice in Oxford, Ohio, adopted a standardized developmental screening tool as part of a demonstration program led by the American Academy of Pediatrics. About 70 to 80 percent of families completed the developmental assessments, which helped pediatricians identify and address concerns without prolonging the length of an average well-child visit.
