The ABCD program has been investigating the role of state Medicaid agencies, Medicaid managed care plans, and pediatricians in financing and providing health and developmental services for young children in low-income families. Parents, however, bear the ultimate responsibility for overseeing and nurturing their child's physical and intellectual growth. To learn more about their experiences with and opinions of child developmental services provided through Medicaid, this project will conduct eight focus groups with parents of infants and toddlers. Work will be undertaken in the four states selected for the Fund's new ABCD initiative.
