Mary A. Pittman, Dr.P.H., is president of the Health Research and Educational Trust/AHA. She has served as president and chief executive officer of the California Association of Public Hospitals. She is co-chair of AHA's strategic team on quality and patient safety. Mary A. Pittman received her doctoral degree in public health from the University of California, Berkeley.
